And it's hard to get too excited knowing that if someone does emerge as a consistent bright light they're most likely leaving the program when we do our coaching search. I still like to see progress and guys develop or the light comes on or whatever, but it means a little less knowing they won't be back. There could potentially be a couple of exceptions, but I'm not holding my breath.

And again, I'd rather have a new coach and lose everyone than keep IB and some of the players.

When you go into every play expecting them to throw it out of bounds, knock a rebound out of the others hands, or airball a 3 then little things like securing a rebound or making a layup are like winning a conference tournament! Keep your expectations low and you can still enjoy it!

(note: not saying things are good or we keep Brown if they rebound a ball, just saying how i'm coping .. acceptance is step 1)

I actually got a little excited watching the game. Then I realized I was watching the Shox try to hold off Southern Florida in a battle of the last place teams in the league. That kind of took the edge off. Reminded me of the days when the Shox were a perennial Thursday night participant in the MVC tourney.
