    For the day, the Shockers are:

    Regular Season (Games of Interest):
    2004 - Won at Providence in Providence, Rhode Island 90-86. Randy Burns scored 24 points, Jamar Howard added 16 and Rob Kampmann had 10, while WSU improved to 5-0. Burns scored four points in the last 5.2 seconds to seal the win.

    1982 - Won at UAB in Birmingham, Ala. 89-88 (OT). Zarko Durisic scored 11 of Wichita State's last 15 points Saturday night, including a free throw with 21 seconds left. Shocker guard Aubrey Sherrod led all scorers with 27 points, followed by Durisic with 24 and a game-high 14 rebounds.

    1970 - Beat Kansas State in Wichita 64-51

    1967 - Beat Arizona State in Wichita 122-105. Shockers made 40 free-throws. Warren Armstrong scored a tripple-double of 33-P, 21-R, and 12-A. This was also the 3rd highest points scored in a win.

    1965 - Beat Colorado in Wichita 87-81

    1964 - (#2) WSU beat BYU in Wichita 93-76

    1961 - Won at (#6) Purdue in West Lafayette, Ind. 71-68. Gene Wiley had a triple-double of 12-P, 13-R, and 15-B. Shockers recorded 15 blocks (all-time record) and Wiley had them all.

    1945 - Beat Southwestern (KS) in Wichita 40-27

            That was a great game at Providence. Shockers started to turn heads with that win. Big win on the road against a Big East foe and Ryan Gomes, the Friars’ All-American caliber player and future NBA guy.
