We've never had a problem getting athletes. We've had problems lately in getting basketball players.

      ... No really, deuces.

Still really impressive to have a 7 footer with a 38” vertical. We’ve never had that before. That vertical will also come in handy being a human eraser.

I wonder what Ehimen's vertical was. He always impressed me as a big man that could get well off the ground.

That's definitely 'off the charts' impressive for a giant of a man. With that vertical, he should be able to make change off the top of the backboard.

Makes you wonder why he couldn't get on the floor at Florida State because Leonard Hamilton knows basketball.

A pretty decent coach named Jim Boeheim wanted this guy last spring for what it's worth. I think QB is a project but his measurables are enticing.

never saw the guy play but if I was guessing, it might have something to do with a) big men take longer to develop and b) he was the smallest of four 7 footers on that team, 2 of which were upper

At least one of which was a walk-on.

outside of the top handful of teams, you are always going to have a couple projects on your bench. A 7 footer with a 38" vertical is a heck of starting point for a project.

The walk on narrative is overplayed. The guy was a 5th year senior. My guess is Brett Barney would’ve gotten PT over a freshman center had he stayed until his 5th year.

As much hype as Ballard is getting and had, he should absolutely in no way be beat out by a walk-on. It is not overplayed. It is a huge red flag in my opinion.
