This saddens me greatly. I knew Mr. Banks from when I was an intern there. A very sweet man, who would do anything for anyone. Extremely selfless.

            He will be missed.

Seemed to be a universally loved everyman. May he rest in peace.

I had forgotten Mr. B was inducted into the Shocker Hall of Fame.

WICHITA, Kan. -- Mr. Roland Banks, ?Mr. B?, well-known for his connection with Wichita State student-athletes as a 35-year member of the athletics department, died Thursday after a long battle with cancer.

A nice article on Mr. Banks by Paul S.. It was a treat when Mr. Banks worked at WSU to just sit down and talk Shocker hoops with him. What a special man!!!!!!!

I did not know Mr. Banks but he left his mark based on what I have read. Sounds like a great man of character who impacted many lives. RIP in heaven.

Mr. Banks was enjoyable to talk Shocker hoops with and he did it with passion. He was well known in Shocker Country and very respected. A friend of his was Dave Stallworth, who also was a joy to talk Shocker hoops with. I cherish the times through the years that I was honored to speak with both of them in and around the Arena. It meant a lot to me that each time I approached them at different times, they always made time to talk and it was always rich to hear. Both men treated me like gold and represented our Program with dignity.
