If IB doesn't perform, and I'm not holding my breath, it all comes down to Saal and the connections he makes within the high rollers class of donors and how confident they feel in him. If he wins them over and can convince them of better things, the contract is bought out.

If there's still some questions, on top of an ever volatile economy, we would be stuck for one more year.

I'm not rooting against IB, I just don't have faith in him being the man to get us back.

It’s starting to feel like he could coach us to .500 the next few years and survive the whole contract but not get it renewed

I see 550 overall, with a losing record in our league ending in a bottom 3 finish.

It's just the first three years of it, which guarantee him the full contract if he doesn't complete those. This will only be year two. If we can't move on if he struggles this year, he'll get one more and then it's a little easier financially to part ways.

That sounds like a ADDB strategy...minimal effort.

I don't think ADKS will do that. Letting a coaches contract just run out is a sure fire way to tank recruiting for a few years. Hard to recruit players when you aren't even under contract for the year.

I will be happy if IB can just keep the plane in the air. No violations, no impermissible benefits, and a team that leaves it all on the floor every game. If he can do that, we can afford to wait for the right coach.

If he survives it will be because of good recruiting not coaching. The closer we get to November the more upbeat I get. On the surface I like some of the young talent and believe there will be two or three players that will make a positive impact to go along with Porter and Photo. I couple of cancers have been removed so hopefully we can get back to team basketball.

No cross winds on a carrier landing but the up and down movement of the deck can make for some exciting moments. Night ones are 10X's more exciting

That will provide great entertainment and really get the fans out to the games. You know, something to root for, not to be the cellar dweller. Can't wait!!
