In my opinion, this guy should absolutely have to sit out for the season after transferring this late. Barring extenuating circumstances, no players who enter the portal after the deadline (May 1) should be given a waiver. Yesterday was the first day of classes at Memphis for crying out loud.

Ha, there’s no such thing as rules in the NCAA anymore. It’s now just about the money, the blow, and the hookers.

How can Houston not be tied to an MTE? There must be a back story there.

Might as well be for schools like KU, UK, Duke, UNC, etc. Was certainly such in an unofficial capacity for Luuullllville a few years ago.

What’s the penalty and when is it enforced?

They were in one, but an unamed SEC team backed out due to a coaching change and the tournament fell apart. They also have a game against Oregon the week of Thanksgiving, and didn't want to push it to next year because of their move to the B12. That game rules out getting into a Thanksgiving MTE.

Man it’s going to be a whole new AAC next year, coaches and all. I’m actually excited, if everyone can pull decent replacements. This is what you want to happen
