I went with 18 wins or less. Not seeing a lot to be more positive about as we look to the future.
    I feel "winter is coming"..

Well fielding a team of 4 players will lead to a lot of losses lol ..... I know you tagged this WAY too early .. considering we don't know who 9 of the roster spots will be (maybe more) not even sure this qualifies for just way too early.

4 players? I thought we still had 5 for now? I like the nucleus and I like low expectations. We just need a couple guys who can SHOOT to go along with Ricks and KP plus at least one decent 6'10 who can defend the rim and a decent back up PG. I am optimistic. 4th place conference finish and NIT. If RC stays he could be a candidate for POY.

I'm not counting Etienne or Council. Council left the door wide open to transfer still.

If you were to ask that age-old question...

            "How we lookin'?"

            Not good.

            That is all.
Above all, make the right call.

Not enough choices. Need a choice for fewer than 12 wins.

Single digit wins very likely. 18 wins is just a pipedream

Too early to guess. I’m also done hyping players for any accolades. Last thing we need is another player thinking they’re the next Michael Jordan.

Unless the head coach and athletic director are hitting the transfer portal, it makes no difference. This is easily a single-digit win team next year. It’s no coincidence that the 90’s has been a trendy phrase here lately.

                    ... No really, deuces.

I perused SN for a few years before I signed up to post about a year ago. I don't think I've ever seen the posters here all agreeing on something. The 17 votes for 18 or less and no votes for any other category is pretty telling.

Based on what we know now, this team will not sniff anywhere close to 18 wins. We don't know who is coming in or who else is leaving. Crap shoot at best.

IB is skewered for hiring quality assistants. It's apparent he's already on the hot seat. What quality assistant would ever join his staff thinking that a complete change was coming in a couple of years?

Players, circa 2021 - Hooray, hooray, a guy we know who isn't going to change anything. We LOVE it.

Players, circa 2022 - This guy can't coach and my pro status is going down the tubes unless I get to some place where I can improve my game.

This ain't the early 2010s anymore, I think more appropriate ranges would be 10-14, 15-18, etc. Feels weird to see everyone agree.
Brummett throws, STRUCK HIM OUT! THE SHOCKERS ARE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! AN UNBELIEVABLE STORY!

It's all about "adaption" for HCIB. I would assume it's way easier to learn and adapt (learn on the job) at the age of 35 then 52 on becoming a good college head coach at a high level program (or any program for that matter).

Both Mark Turgeon and Gregg Marshall were around 35 years of age when they both got their first head coaching jobs. IB even with a ton of assistant coaching experience obviously is a little late in that game.

That doesn't necessarily disqualify him from garnering success...but under the scrutiny of the college coach microscope...it shows his vulnerability as how to adapt.

Positive hire today on the new assistant to bring in some guys.

Now mold them into a "team" of basketball players and not individual players. Learn to keep them "accountable" and accept the consequences when they make a boneheaded play. Next man up when they mess up!!! Accountability. Team!

Do that and the fans will notice and show up!!! But don't forget to WIN!!!

                              Go Shocks!!!
