Can someone merge this thread with the ongoing thread: “The Flaming, Stinking, Burning Trash Heap That is WSU Basketball”

We should keep all this in one place for our incoming recruits.

Stated in the other thread .. hopefully this doesn't cause Porter to hop.

Though either way, the coach we hired looks like an upgrade IMO. Nothing against Lou, but Butch has quite a bit of really good experience.

After looking at the resume of who we hired ... not sure it fits in that thread ...

Where is the info on who was hired and the previous post about Gudinpo? I can't find anything resembling either in the basketball forum.

That's a good challenge .. not extremely recently .. though having old examples of "elite class of recruits" is still better than no examples of it lol

Not necessarily. Recruiting is young man’s game. It seems like there is possibly some family health distractions (maybe he has put them behind him).

Going for a young, up and coming guy has more risk, but could also has a potential higher upside.

On its surface I’m calling upgrade. While it may be a young man’s game, players also look to coaches who had some playing experience and success. Gudino had none. The last coach I remember we had that had no playing experience was Cohen.

Gudino was a good scout and had his hand in a couple of recruits, but had hit his high water mark.

Only time will tell if this is an upgrade.

                      We will know soon enough.

At this point we have no choice but to let it play out and see what happens.
"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

At least we don’t have to see his double mask anymore, especially when he selectively decided to wear it

Hard to tell how much he had to do with this, but here is NC State's recruiting class from the year he was there.

We need a 5th ranked recruiting class for our "Dawg" offense.

I should've also included that the 2016 NC State recruiting class is also the class that got Gottfried fired, as one of the first casualties of the FBI investigation.
