    Seems like a good hire.

Good thing WSU didn't give him a try when they were looking for an interim...

I thought the the original story was that we offered him the job when GM left, prior to the season starting, and he turned it down.

Seth Davis reported that their was mutual interest and he was at the top of the WSU list if Marshall was let go.

If I recall, he wanted to take the job only after the season, not immediately when it became available.

Don't know. Just know he was interested and we got hoodwinked by Douchboat.

"Hmmm.... Do we want a guy that has several high seeds and deeps run in the Tournament or a guy who won the conference in a year were he didn't have to face full schedule and also looked worse the last three games of the season???"

Hard to see why people are questions DB's decisions!!!!

Matta was on WSU's short list & not the other way around. It's alright, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and presume you just guessed...

This seems to be true based on everything I've read so far. Norlander has said that Matta has turned down a lot of jobs the last couple years, and Butler's AD had to basically convince him to take the job.
