So this ended up with Memphis getting a 5000 dollar fine, 3 years probation (not a ban. Just probation) and vacates 3 games.
This is less than a slap on the wrist. I think the message they are sending is to cheat away.... Benefits are going to massively outweigh the punishments.Comment

It's pretty incredible that Memphis' lawyers successfully argued that Penny Hardaway did not know James Wiseman was ineligible for their first game because the school's administrators failed to relay that information. The results of this case, although not tied to the FBI investigation, are likely a positive sign for Kansas, Louisville, Arizona, and LSU.Comment
