Damm, is it going to take a resignation of Eric Wedge to open some eyes with power to remedy things? I'd think this one would put some noses in jeopardy.

But most of all - please know that I’ve always wanted the best for you !!

The last part directed to the former athletes is weird ...
I have to say that I did not find it weird. Although, I suppose I can see how some might read something more into that. But with transparency apparently not something this University values we will probably never know.

That said I have no doubt that Kerry, as long as he has been around, is probably about as old school as they come these days. Probably need more of that.

That was my thoughts. I wonder if they went to him about taking a pay cut or something. Although he doesn't strike me as someone who does it for the money.

I didn't find the statement weird per se. Just full of potential hidden meanings and it was clear that he was trying to send a message. Almost like this was the only decision he could make and that his hands were tied.

We all do our jobs for the money. If you are good at your job you expect to be well compensated for your job relative to your peers.

Right. Just odd things to say...like he was getting told he was being too hard on the players

You know its bad when the person in charge of strength and conditioning puts his name in the portal.

I wish some of the people that sucked at their jobs would quit. I can think of two in particular.

The start of cuts perhaps? How deep?

No inside information. Just think this is very strange. Usually when things like this happen there was an ultimatum given.

Muma: "Listen Boatturd, I will give you this 37% pay increase if you cut 37% somewhere else in the department."
Boatturd: "Yes Mr. Muma, I can just get rid of anyone who would make us look successful."

Can’t speak for Kerry but knowing him fairly well, lack of upgrades in the basketball weight room as FVV pointed out was very detrimental to recruiting even in the last couple years of FHCGM’s tenure and I’m sure was a big factor in him leaving.

FHCGM loved working with Kerry and made sure his players damn well knew the importance of their obligations to his strength training program.

I am still surprised that under GM tenure that our athletic facility was not top of the line. I think we will see another change or two pretty soon.
