"The award has always gone to a player who puts up gaudy counting stats in steals or blocks. Dennis is the first player in the nine-year history of the award to not average at least one steal or one block per game, which can be taken as the ultimate sign of respect from opposing coaches for his on-ball defense for a team that was in the middle of the standings.
"
Very Happy for Dexter Dennis. I may knock his shooting but I give him all the credit for his defense. He has shown nothing but class at WSU. Everything I have read about him shows good character. If he stays please work on your midrange game shooting. He shoots a great percentage from the free throw line. He needs to learn how to get his shot inside the 3 point line.
Also very happy for RC4. Well deserved young man. Has all the skills to be very special player. Needs to stop trying to dribble through several defenders. This leads to turnovers. But the best thing about RC4 is what he said about his turnovers in the East Carolina game when Coach Brown talked to him about his turnovers."No need to get mad I am the one turning it over" Outstanding. This shows real growth. A real man is able to admit his mistake. Keep grinding Ricky.
Anybody else think that if TE hadn't have been co-player of the year last year, he wouldn't have been on any list. I honestly don't think he is one of the best 15 players in the AAC. Is he capable of being one, sure. But he didn't earn it this season. Wonder how often a player of the year has fallen to 3rd team.

FIFY.
I wish nothing but the best for him. Seems like a super good dude. It would be hard to find anybody who doesn't like Dex other than the dude he's guarding.
Congratulations to TE too. I am not surprised he was selected for the 3rd team. He has a number of great skills but I believe he was mislead this summer about his game. And this resulted in his game being off track. He is not the first person to be mislead about his game and he will not be the last. Lots of people out their peddling rat poison. But he has good characters and if he stays he can get back on track by staying in Wichita and improving his game. Go Shocks.
