If we go 2-1, we probably knock SMU out of the tourney. Might be best to lose to them. We need the $$ their appearance in the tourney would provide.

Not an impossible scenario. It's all about matchups and sometimes things that don't make sense actually happen (like Tulsa sweeping Memphis last year). Memphis is vulnerable against certain teams, just not us.

What's the difference between a cactus and a Mercedes on the SMU campus?

The cactus has the pricks on the outside.

            Really Aargh? Really?

That’s like intentionally throwing a dart match.
            Deuces Valley.
            ... No really, deuces.

They may/should beat Tulsa. Tulsa is good match up for WSU as they do not have a strong paint/post player.
              After that, SMU...who knows.
And if they somehow win...Memphis (most likely) awaits and WSU does not have the athletes inside to compete with them.
Remember, Memphis recruited and has Duren patrolling the paint. WSU recruited and has... Joe Pleasant.
Since it would also be their third game in three days, it could get even uglier than the previous two blow outs.

              That is all.
Above all, make the right call.

What’s a poss? Is that like a bullseye in darts?

Anything better than 1-1 is a bonus in my mind. It has been a long time since I've looked at a conference tournament with that outlook. Probably 2008. That's the sad reality and I hope to be pleasantly surprised. Losing to Tulsa would be/should be a fireable offense in my mind.

                      Sorrie, caint hep meself...

The Lone Ranger was captured by Indians and was about to be put to death. The Chief spoke, "Since you are about to die, I'll grant you a wish."

The Lone Ranger said, "I want to talk to my horse."

The Chief thought it was an odd request, but consented, and Silver was led around to the Lone Ranger. The Lone Ranger whispered in Silver's ear, and the horse went galloping away.

Ten minutes later, Silver came back with a stunningly beautiful blonde woman in the saddle. The Chief smirked at the Lone Ranger and said, "Go ahead and use my tent." The Lone Ranger took the blonde into the chief's tent and came back out some time later, saying, "I want to see my horse again."

"Again?" the Chief sighed and reluctantly agreed. The Lone Ranger whispered into Silver's ear, and the horse went galloping away.

Ten minutes later, Silver returned, this time with a beautiful redhead in the saddle. The Chief smiled broadly and said, "What a way to go. You can use my tent again."

The Lone Ranger and the woman went into the Chief's tent and came out some time later. Immediately, the Lone Ranger said, "I want to see my horse again."

Now the Chief was getting impatient and said, "Okay, but this is the last time."

The Lone Ranger grabbed Silver's reins and shouted at him, "Now listen, you stupid horse: posse! P-O-S-S-E!!!"

So you are saying that if Vegas would give Memphis a meager 10 point margin, I should load up on that?

Most favorable path: Tulsa, SMU, UCF, Anyone but Houston

                          Likelihood: Small

Didn’t the game a couple weeks ago open at like 8.5 or something ridiculous like that?

I honestly wouldn't be feeling too bad if we have to play a worn out Houston with an NCAA bid on the line. We can at least compete with them. We can't compete with Memphis, so unlikely we get to that point.
