  • I must say…

CKA felt like old times today.

Crowd was loud. Team played well/hard. The HC was even animated with the officials.

Apart from the last 5.3 seconds, that is…

Unfortunately we’re at the point now where we only get hyped up for the ranked teams we play, instead of getting hyped up to see us play.
    Deuces Valley.
    ... No really, deuces.

Bingo. The type of program what would “annoy” us in the Valley. We used to be everyone’s Super Bowl.

        Agreed.

It was nice to feel that rush again.

        At least one more time.

          Look in a mirror.

99% of college programs would give their left nut for today’s atmosphere.

While I agree, he’s not completely wrong.

A K-STATE game against KU is completely different than a game against West Virginia.

There was a time 10ish years ago when schools like UNI, SWOMO, Drake, ISUr would have a top-tier college basketball atmosphere for 1 game a year. That’s quickly becoming our reality the only difference is we’ll get 5-6k every other game instead of 2-3k like the aforementioned schools.

Amazing - Our two best performances so far this season have both been against two highly ranked teams and both went into overtimes.

After our team's performance today, those of you who so desperately want Coach IB removed, and his contract bought out, need to accept the fact that Coach IB will be our Coach (unless something really weird happens again), at least to the end of his contract, and perhaps years beyond.

Getting up only for the good teams doesn’t mean one damn thing.

And calling losses “wins” is about as sad as it gets for this program. Truly sad.

While it is sad the program has regressed to only big games having a crowd like this, it was fantastic to experience it again for the first time in 2 years! The first time many of our player have experienced the arena rocking. Perhaps it will make some of them think twice about transferring, seeing what this place can be when you perform well.

There is a reason “getting/got Evansvilled” is a thing.

Will today be good he new normal or will it be like Evensville winning the odd big game?

On the latest sample size, I would say the later. I am open (and hopeful) to they idea of it being the former, but only time will tell on that.

                            Agreed. Today was special.

Reminded me why Shocker games used to be the highlight of the week.

First of all, let's get this straight, I never called a Loss a Win. But it is fairly common that a lesser team. will rise up and play better against a ranked team. But that will RARELY happen if that team is so horribly coached, and so rarely properly prepared for every opponent we have played, Win or Lose.

I fully understand frustration. And I am not a huge fan of our HC, but our young men must be learning something, as they gave a very good Houston team, with many very good players, all they could handle in Sundays game.

We have a ton of really great Shocker Net Fans on this board, and one way or another, we will all get through this together,. Laughing, Crying, or Shouting

And even more important, the great Wichita State University's Basketball Teams will soon successfully successfully rise to the levels we have of late, been accustomed too.
