How Drexel goes is a referendum on the treatment of schedules vs performance

I will take a team from worse conference over some also ran from a BCS conference any day. If a team cannot have a winning record in their conference then why should they play for a national championship over another team that competed for their conference championship. Of course this is just due to me being tired of having someone like Seth Greenberg (VaTech coach) complaining that his team does not get a night off like Cleveland State against Youngstown State or (WSU against Bradley). VaTech is the "off night" in the ACC this year.

VaTech, BC, Georgia Tech, and Wake Forest are all terrible teams in the ACC this year. Maryland isn't a ton better. Any of those teams is essentially an "off-night" for my 'Noles (5-1, with one pathetic loss to BC), because they're a tournament-worthy team. They're not off-nights for VT (they are 2-3 against BC/GT/WF/Maryland) because VT is a bad team.

Bradley doesn't get an off-night either. That's because Bradley is also a bad team. When you're a bad team, every game is tough.

Yeah they lacked that marquee non-con win. They had a rpi of 39 and were 2-1 against the rpi top 50 but their 2 rpi top 50 wins were against us. Their top 50 loss was at #41 Tennessee. They won the regular season in the #11 conference. Their SOS was #111.

Drexel this year has a rpi of 66 and like SWOMO no marquee non-con win. They are just 1-1 against the top 50. The only top 50 win is against VCU in the conference. Their only top 50 loss was also against VCU so they played no top 50 teams outside of their league. They won the #15 ranked conference regular season. Their SOS is #213.

I think between the two, SWOMO had the better resume but the bubble appears to be weaker this year which might help Drexel.

"Their" coach...not there coach. and there "they're" a bubble team.......

There are all sorts of theres, theirs, and they'res....it isn't one form fits all usages.

But...Tennessee's infractions in the past have little to do with the fact that they might not deserve to be a bubble team..IMHO.

Resume, wins, losses, SOS, RPI....they may have an impact...I don't think there, their, they're (that word again. pick one) is a category for coaching lies.

LOL son...I was a decade and a half out of college when WSU got hit with those sanctions in the early 80's. I am not really a spring chicken.

I understand that you are angry because NCAA sanctions have changed over the last 25 years and are not as stringent. There will never be another SMU. Miami won't get the death penalty and although the Tennessee coach did have a couple of recruits over for a barbeque, and lied about it, Tennessee wasn't going to get a post season ban.
