I love how quickly Council shoots his free throws. Not rushed or anything but just a quick dribble cock and fire. Supreme confidence and doesn’t give himself time to “think about it”.

This is a team that took a top 5 team in AZ to overtime. People are disgruntled because better is expected. Let's use this fact to create a win, forge an identity and get in the gym and work on offense. Maybe, just maybe they can use this to make a run.

Freaking 7-13 Arizona State just beat #3 UCLA. That doesn’t mean ASU is all of a sudden a great team. **** happens.

What the Zona game revealed, and has been the norm since, is that WSU hasn't been dominated by big front lines this year (Arizona has a top 10 offense). You think Mo has anything to with that? It sure isn't because of KP (who I'm a fan of). Where is WSU's D ranked on kenpom? Someone on this board said it was top 20? That's probably a fair mean.

The Sun Devils obviously aren't a great team, but I'll bet that they aren't better than WSU, victory or not over the #3 team. Some on this board would probably think that they are because of their win in Tempe over the Bruins. I wouldn't, anymore than I would think Missouri is better than us because they beat Alabama (and SMU).

One thing I don't believe this team has done this year (sorry if someone else has already mentioned it):

From the first bucket, the Shocks lead the whole game and were never tied while building a double-digit lead midway through the 1st half. They built the lead to 19, but never let the lead slip under 10 and finished the game with a 15 point win.

Hopefully, this will give them confidence and show what they are, and can be, capable of against a solid opponent.

Couldn't see the game until today.

Would like to see Porter take a few more shots - passes up some wide open jumpers.

TE didn't force much and that makes a huge difference for this team. He took a few deep 3's but for the most part they were open and he seemed in rhythm. Hope that continues.

For the most part I liked the distribution of minutes...would like to see Pohto with more than 14 frankly so he stays. The Mo/KP minutes are going to be divied up by matchups...I would have thought this was a game where KP could play more than 14. Pleasant and Grant need to each be under 10/game.

Ricky can be really good when he doesn't force things leading to TO's. That was a problem early on but has definitely gotten better. Natural rebounder, deep range, nice mid-range game, and athletic enough to drive effectively. He is also not a selfish player and made some really nice passes.

Monzy made winning plays for the most part (missed a bunny).

I haven't been able to watch some of the recent games so this may not be new but it seemed new to me...the passing, especially early on, seemed much crisper. So much of the year there has been a lot of lazy passes but that was the first thing I noticed. That helps the receiver have a split second more to get an advantage. Also seemed like the Shocks moved better. I haven't seen SMU so maybe their D isn't their calling card, but I hope the better passing has been a point of emphasis under the umbrella of valuing possessions and moving with intention on O.

The D was great and none were better than DD. He doesn't have to force anything on O to help this team win - he was all over their star.

I hope this foreshadows improvement for a strong finish - time will tell.
