I would have loved a rubber match but since it didn't happen I will have to be content with a beat down in front of the LARGEST crowd to EVER watch a basketball game in the state of Nebraska. It will give me a warm feeling for the rest of my days. And if the memories start to fade then I'll just pull it up from the archived games. I will place it next to "THE THROW" in the college world series. Oh wait, that was against you guys in front of your home crowd also wasn't it. I saw "MVCchamp" and thought It was the clown that appeared in the WSU/ILSU game thread to talk trash. I didn't take the time to process but that name was j'smvcchamps or something like that so this could be somebody different and that changes the meaning behind the comment and I don't have to assume it was snarky. Technically it is MVC Champs. The Valley only crowns one conference champion in each sport and in basketball (like all of the others) it is the winner of the post-season tournament that is crowned conference champion.

The regular season is used by the Valley only to seed teams for the post-season tournament they do not crown a regular season champ.

You sure about that, 1989? So how do they count placing for purposes of the all-sports trophy -- based on the regular season, right? If so, why do you believe that the tournament determines the conference "champion?"
