I don't know the answer, but I would doubt it. Furthermore, they'd be crazy to do that, unless coach/player did something so bad that it was a no-brainer.

It would definitely penalize the conference potentially monetarily. But if it was so bad, how could you ignore it.

I'm still curious why this question is even asked... Did something happen during or after the Creighton game that would make someone wonder? If not, I don't see the point in the question.

Has nothing to do with the Creighton game. If a player or coach is so out of line that they embarrass the conference publicly, can the player or coach be suspended by the conference for the NCAA tournament. That's all I'm asking.
I could be wrong, but this query is obviously in regards to Marshall's barely-disguised comments about the officiating in the post-game press conference. I also wonder if some sort of penalty (likely a fine) is going to happen.
If nothing happened during or after the CU game, then I don't understand why it's being asked. For up to that point, nothing had happened. Other than what Chris Lowery had done to SIU and the harm inflicted upon that school and the conference.

I was actually wondering what would happen if Garrett and HCGM would have kicked it up a notch?
The real question is how much power or control does a conference have over a team once they are in post season?
He didn't say anything that would warrant a fine. I've seen numerous coaches in different conferences voice their opinion about officiating without directly saying anything and have no troubles. It's a non issue.
Garrett is the only one that openly said anything, and he was 1000% correct about it. As I said at the time, the double technicals was 100% on the officiating.
I have to agree, while HCGM was walking a fine line, I don't think he said anything that crossed it. While his intentions were obviously clear, he never singled anybody out. Now if you buy into what Bob Lutz said (which I don't cause I think the guy is an idiot), then getting into it with Dummy Elgin and cutting in front of IlST in the press conference could be grounds for a fine. But definitely not a suspension. I think at this point it is a non-issue.
I have to agree that the officiating on Saturday was beyound horrible. We get mugged down low, no call. We barely (if even) touch somebody on the other end, and it's a foul. No doubt the officiating was biased on Saturday.
