Here is the saving grace: Outside of Sampson and maybe Wes Miller, the rest of the coaches in this league ain’t exactly John Wooden.

        I'm thinking 8 or 9
Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan
        RIP Guy Always A Shocker
Carpenter Place - A blessing to many young girls/women
ICT S.O.S - Great local cause fighting against human trafficking
Wartick Insurance Agency - Saved me money with more coverage.
Save Shocker Sports - A rallying cry

10-8 unless either the team quit on HCIB or there are a lot of conference games lost to Covid.

7-9 range unless the team suddenly learns how to play together offensively.
They are slow learners and IB's methods to get them to move with and without
the ball have failed to date. Offensive chemistry has to get MUCH better, 3-4
players have to start shooting MUCH better, QG has to contribute something, and
KP needs to be starting at PF. JP and CJ can back up at both the C/PF positions.
Would need to play a little more zone with KP playing more minutes but I have
always liked the idea of switching / changing defenses a little more anyway to keep
opponents from settling in on something that works.

This is a very easy team to prepare for and attack.
                Opposing coaches know:
                1) TE is on The League audition tour and can easily be forced into taking off balance, Ill advised shots. And nothing is going to change in the near future.
                2) There is nothing inside once you double team Mo. He still hasn't figured out how to react to DT's and is a guaranteed 5 TO's every game.
                3) WSU has one beat up PG and nothing after him. Wear down CP and immediately increase pressure to force mucho TO's.
                4) DD will play defense...and contribute little more. When your small shooting forward averages 5 PPG, you have even more reason to pressure TE into taking more bad shots.
                5) Joe is nice guy - at Abilene Christian. Yes, he made a couple of FT's to help his former team with an NCAA game, but really trying to understand what this coaching staff saw in him.
He has no low post moves, can not get off the floor and has zero lateral movement. There was a reason he was at ABU. He is not an AAC level player.
I am actually starting to agree with asiseeit about playing MO and KP at the same time. Yes, I know, there is no depth when they get tired, but the current rotation isn't getting it done.
                6) Not much to say about QG. Yes, he is super quick, but I see quick guys every night. Once again, there was a reason he was at a D2 school for 3 years.

Future opposing caches are not stupid. They will prepare detailed scouting report on WSU and each and every team will execute such. Unfortunately, there isn't a lot WSU can do to counter, as long as the same approach is employed.

                That is all.
Above all, make the right call.

I am seeing a 9 win and 9 loss conference record, and with a more bear'ish outlook.

The bottom of this conference isn't great. We play defense. 10 wins.

We're a Craig Porter injury away from maybe winning 1 or 2 conference games this year. Please don't get injured Mr. Porter. If he stays healthy (God willing)...but our offensive struggles continue...I think we're looking at only 4 to 6 conference wins. Eee-gawds. So hope I'm wrong wrong wrong!!!

This is a very popular thought amongst our colleagues on SN. So what we are saying is our season is toast if our PG who averages 22 MPG, 4 PPG/4 RPG/3 APG (2:1 A-TO ratio)/1 BPG/0.8 SPG doesn't get hurt. He shoots 34%/33% from the field, while averaging 4 shots per game. He shoots 64% from the line, while attempting just over 1 per game. We are in a s h i t load of trouble either way if lights don't begin going off yesterday about changes in thought and behavior about what this team is doing from all levels of the team.
