UNLV needs some love. They're terrible on the road and could be upset tonight. Not a threat to take our seed or ranking, and winning helps our RPI.

Rooting for some Cincy magic as well as some USF running over Pitino Pamplona style.

Cincy has a 17 point lead half way through the 2nd. The magic is working well so far.

USF even with Louisville. I'd enjoy a Missouri loss as well. They're trailing half way through the first.

Roy Williams to Mark Turgeon after their 24 pt beat down.

"Glad to have you here in the ACC, just too bad you can't recruit at the level of most ACC schools. Maybe you should go back to Wichita State!"

Tough coming in to your first season with one senior and one junior to play. He hasn't had a chance to do much of any recruiting yet. Give him a few seasons. He has the ACC's leading scorer as a sophomore ... if he stays with the team, they should be improving.

Cincy upsets Marquette, and USF upsets Louisville. They just keep dropping.

Iowa State still leading Missouri. Ohio State leading Northwestern. Temple is in OT against Mass, though. They're 4-0 in OT on the season, but trailing by 4 at the moment.

                  Good scores so far tonight:
Marquette lost by double digits to Cincinnati (Marquette not as much of a lock for a 3 seed anymore, WSU now within striking range if Marquette falters early in the Big East Tourney)

South Florida won at Louisville (WSU will pass Louisville in my update tomorrow morning)

Iowa State up 6 at Missouri early in the 2nd half. Missouri might be a stretch for the Shox to try to jump ahead of, but Iowa St. is not a danger to catch WSU, so might as well see just how bad Missou can finish and maybe the Shox can just barely pull ahead)

Speaking of Iowa State, it's impressive to see how Fred Hoiberg has turned that program around after the departure of GM. He's a young coach who appears to have that program rising again. It's amazing to think that UNI and Drake beat them this year.

Interesting Temple stat for anyone who thinks MVC refs are bad: Mass shot 3 FTs in regulation. Temple shot 29. And shot 80% on those. At home. And still it went to OT.

I think my head might explode if I was a Mass fan.

*Edit: Temple wins. Glad for WSU's RPI, but ... ouch. Awful, awful game, and without that 10:38 FT difference, they would have been blown out.

Temple is sort of the A-10 version of Creighton right now- winning against inferior opponents, but just barely. They are not playing well.

Oh, and as if that massive FT difference wasn't enough of a reason for them to win, THREE of Mass' starters fouled out of the game.

They had almost no starters left for OT. And Temple still barely won.

Missouri and Iowa State going down to the wire.

*Edit: I really don't understand why Christopherson is the only guy getting the ball for Iowa State at the end of the game when he's 3-13. The end-game strategy here seems to be to have four guys stand around and the guy that is shooting the coldest charge in and flail his arms around wildly.

Northwestern loses on a buzzer beater to Ohio State after a NW had completed a furious comeback to tie it with 7 seconds left.

Someone from the Cubs must have breathed on the Wildcats- so close again, but no cigar.

UNLV loses at Colorado State, 66-59. The Rebs were outscored 40-18 in the second half.

It's a good thing the MWC Tournament is in Las Vegas- these guys absolutely suck on the road.
