Kel tell your friend his coach at that time (I can't remember his name either - thank God) was the "coach" who mismanaged the UCONN incident that resulted in ES becoming the player he is today.

Not sure if it shot out off his knee or just out of his hands, I'd have to go back and look. Until that's a regular occurrence, I'm not worries. Outside of the fastball from point blank range, there was another that wasn't attrocious, but it appeared to lead him too far under the basket and he tried to make that failed save that landed in the hands of the other team. A good pass there and it's probably an easy two. Again, I'd have to go back and watch to see if there was a defender that forced it to go too far or if it was just a misplaced pass.

I will also say that while I wasn't overly excited about the way Qua played in the first game, he looked much better in game two. I'll be curious to see how he handles things as the competition level steps up. It can take some time to adjust to size and speed and athleticism no matter what levels you're moving up to/from. I'm sure he'll continue to adapt as needed. He and Porter can be a nice pairing with different strengths at the point this year.
This is to the dude who sat behind me at last game trashing my man Pohto every time he touched the ball. You need to chill! Dude has a sweet stroke and will likely be one of our most consistent shooters all year. Holy crap that guy was getting on my nerves. KP should absolutely be launching that perimeter shot. It is SUUUUWEEEEET!

I first confirmed trouble with TP when talking to a staff member who called TP “a dick.”

        So that’s kinda fitting actually.

It’s not about the Xs and Os but the Jimmys and Joes. That said, I’m mindful of the coaching matchup. Tarleton is coached by one Billy Clyde Gillespie. At least years ago, Dude was a lunatic, but he was a pretty good coach. I remember his last A&M team going into AFH and basically telling the locals to “Phuck the Phog.” I watched that game at (whatever the 21st-Woodlawn sports bar was called at the time.) I was later told by A&M fans I met somewhere that “A&M did not win the game…Acie Law won that game.”

I expect his team to be a tough, grimy, physical squad, so we better match that.

If BCG can land on his feet at a D-1, then FHCGM is a no doubter to do the same. Just a matter of where.

It's also a matter of if he wants to.

And even when he was still here I think people were wondering how much longer we would have him as he'd stated many times he didn't want to be coaching forever. I figured we would have another 5 to 8 years max before he'd want to hang it up and move on and enjoy retirement. Would jumping into a new program that he'd definitely have to try to build be worth it to him? I'm really not sure it would be at this point.

Tonight might end up being more of a playground/street ball game with everyone switching. Can Mo handle defense on the perimeter, as well as the dribble drive?

If Lynn and Gregg are driving each other crazy, he may want to get back into it.

Even more important than if Mo can handle the outside defense, is whether he can handle very athletic players from TSU, double teaming him without turning the ball over. Could be a good test.
