Articles from the PJStar on last night game.

    BU backs down to Wichita

That all came unraveled as soon as the second half began. Wichita State attacked with a vengeance and BU backed off.

"We knew in the scouting report that their transition defense is not that good so we had to attack with fast breaks," said WSU guard Gal Mekel.

    Problems? Lots. Fewer solutions.

I was tempted to call this loss inexcusable, because Wichita State is not a very good team. Plus, the Shocks were missing their own senior point guard, Matt Braeuer, out with a concussion, thereby negating a Ruffin-made excuse.

But then, Bradley isn't a very good team right now either. In fact, it's not good at all.

All of the Shockers' turnovers (they ended with 25) helped them achieve a torrid shooting percentage of .643 (27-for-42). It's the third-best percentage by an opponent at Carver and the seventh-best ever by a BU foe regardless of venue. This by an 8-6 team shooting 40 percent this season.
In listening to the radio broadcast it sounded like shooting has been a point of emphasis in practice and having been doing it a lot more then normal. Even Preadom went 2-2 on the free throw line.

    Maybe it made the difference.
