Yeah, that's a sign of a good coach--doing what it takes to get your guys to play their best. Kudos to Pat.

Really? Good coaching? I didn't mind the rant, but from a coaching point of view, it could be a no lose situation. They respond, and Pat Knight is "doing what it takes to get your guys to play their best," they lose and he laid the foundation for failure by letting everyone know that his seniors suck. I would not have bet that kids that had engaged in the behavior he was describing in the rant would not respond to a public "calling out." This smells much more like coincidence and better talent than good coaching.
