        I honestly feel bad for them. Its nice to see their fans have a sense of humor about it but ouch, some of those stats must just hurt. I remember when people were dreading having to play them. I hope they are able to buy out their coach this year and start getting back into the form. The league was more fun when they were actually competitive....and not 8-22.

          I stumbled upon a website with a bunch of past NCAA Tournament games and watched a little bit of SIU vs. KU just to remind myself of how tough those SIU teams were. Really sad how far they've fallen in a few years.

                        I don't know. Our lost decade + 1 was pretty bad.

                        89-90, 5th out of 8, 6-8 MVC
                        90-91, 6th of 9, 7-9 MVC

                        92-93, 7-11, 9th
                        93-94, 6-12, 8th
                        94-95, 6-12, 7th
                        95-96, 4-14, tied for 9th (last)

                        97-98, 11-7, 3rd tied
                        98-99, 6-12, 8th tied
                        99-00, 5-13, 9th
                        00-01, 4-14, 9th (Turgeon's first year)

                        So, that is a lot of Thursday games in the MVC tourney.

                          Yeah, I wouldn't get to arrogant. We could be back in the same place if Marshall leaves and we have a bad coaching hire.
