All of our seniors showed up today and it was a special time for all of us Shocker fans. Being there while the players and coach cut down the net was an honor and something I will never forget. These guys have made me extremely proud to be a Shocker fan and alumni.
All the seniors played well and the day should be theirs. I can't not mention Orupke though what a game. Mark Phelps is an absolute douchebag. Speaking with Coach Jans after the game he said that he expects the team will only improve. There will be 13 days after the conference tournament to prepare for the NCAA's. It's hard to imagine that we could play any better than we are now. Go Shockers!!!

Great game Shox! They are playing at such a higher level than this league has to offer up against them right now, lets keep that up next weekend. I was at the game as well as the final game in 06 and I have to say that the promotions staff at WSU continue to amaze me with their lameness. The post game celebration with the PA telling the fans not to storm the court took most of the spontaneity out of it. There was little organization with the festivities like there was in 06. Its a shame as this team is better in my opinion and they deserved more. Still proud of the Shox! Wish I could go to STL but I'll be cheering from ICT.

Coming in late on recruiting his first season and watching a recruit die on the court.That sounds incredibly tough.

He comes from a league that he absolutely dominated and it takes him longer to win the Valley than he thought. That sounds incredibly tough.

Finishing second two seasons in a row and being denied in the conference tourney. That sounds incredibly tough.

Nothing to read into that other than he was really soaking it all in and reflecting on the journey to that point.

I agree. Something like, "It's been a great 5 years". I was hoping to hear something like, "Let's get another one next year". As soon as he said this in addition to his tone of voice and body language, it did give me pause. Oh well, perhaps the whole situation was emotionally taxing on GM and we are just taking his comment the wrong way.

I think it was more how he started out with, "I just want everyone to know how great these last five years have been..." or something along those lines.
