Does this explain HCIB recruiting IA?

If it was, we came out smelling like a rose. Haven't seen that IA has played any 5 but he still has wayyyyyy more upside. Kinda stoked to see more minutes for Kenny P. Kid looks like a stud.

Is Matt's scholarship available to use this semester?

"Personal reasons" and "take care of family" are sometimes legitimate and sometimes not.

McFarlane seemed to be more raw than posters were expecting and "cheerleader" Eldridge didn't give him coverage. Is it possible Photo was going to beat him out for Udeze's backup?

My first thought was that this makes room for Ziegler. Perhaps a PG is a higher priority than a post?

This team should be deeper at the 4 or 5 spot than last years still, yes?

                  Is there something I’m missing?

I tend to look at things as who we can defend. I realize I'm on a bit of an island that way.

I don't think we're as deep to be honest.

Mo is the same, and undersized 5.

Trey Wade was a hugely undervalued defensive 4. HUGELY. If Joe is anywhere near as good defensively, I'll be happy, if not pleasantly surprised.

Monzy is an undersized 4. Same. Jo for 12 games is more physical than Kenny is likely to be. No doubt Kenny is likely to be much better offensively.

We have no 5. We have to play our best 4 at 5. Undersized 4s. I get what you're saying, but small teams with little to no post depth better shoot the three VERY well or be VERY lucky (see last year).

                      Mo is not a 4.

MM seemed like a nice kid, but the few times I was around the team (Summer Camp / Aftershox) he didn’t seem very engaged or close to his teammates. I hope things work out well for him….

Disappointing. Had some size and some shot blocking / rim protecting potential. Probably wouldn't have done much offensively, but would likely have made an impact defensively and to give MU some breaks. Pohto will need to step in to the back up 5 role and that is not his best position.

What are you basing that on? Was that said somewhere or is it an observation? I had thought of him as a stretch 5 and thought he might lack the quickness to guard smaller forwards.

Well maybe not entirely but I was really counting on a 6'-10" guy (MacFarland) backing up Mo. Pohto was billed as more of stretch 4 guy for sure. Sucks that he is going to have to spell Mo at that position...but whatever. I mean I suppose you can put Pleasant there...but then we'll be undersized again. Ugghhh. This kinda sucks. Yeah agree with Doc...we gonna have to light it up from 3.
