  • Where to watch the game on East Side

Normally I watch the game at home, but tonight I think I want a beer and go out. Any suggestions on where to go that is fun on the east side?
I went to the Alley with some friends for the 3OT Drake game and since I'm a bit superstitious I don't want to do that again.

      Louie's is good too.

Buffalo Wild Wings is another option.

If you want some of the best home-brewed beer in town go to River City Brewery in Old Town. Plus, tonight is 6.00 pizza night (usually around 10.00) and the pizzas are phenomenal. I recommend Harvester Wheat beer and the Greek pizza.

Fox and Hound does a watch party with the Alumni Association. They usually have door prizes and some sort of contest (FT %, # of 3s shot, combined total score, etc.) I've been a few times and it's pretty fun. Good atmosphere with lots of Shocker fans.

Ok, obeying the dreaded board rules, I'll ask a question here...do you LIKE watching games with other fans, outside of the venue???Not me...I like to be able to yell at the tv, get up and clean up a mess...Now, NOTHING beats the arena experience, but otherwise, I'm a homebody...

Although I usually tend to watch road games at home. Blarney Stone opened up this week. I'd be interested to see what people think of watching games there. I was told by the owners the Alumni Association is having a watch party there for the Illinois State game Saturday night.

I went the other day to check it out. They really cleaned the place up.

If you are with like-minded individuals it can be fun. Fox and Hound is your best bet as its the "official" watch party. Generally quite a few shocker fans there.

Has anyone taken in a game at the Shocker Sports Grill? I have stopped in for a pre-game meal on numerous occasions but have not been there to watch a game? Yes, they do serve beer.

I like the Smokehouse Burger and Onion Rings.

I am with you, Molly. The arena or home.

On occasion, I have gone to Deano's. There are plenty of screens and it is noisy. Not my favorite, but sorta okay.
