The win over the weekend helped a little and if "Selection Sunday" occurred today, I would predict Wichita State would now be in the NIT at the 2-seed to 3-seed range. Wins against North Texas and Alcorn State will keep us moving in the right direction.

And 10 &$@!ing. teams from the Big L1E. The absurdities in College sports just get more and more extreme. There is no NCAA.

A couple of odd results in the Big East, but they aren't getting 10 teams in. However, it is clear, more than ever, that it's about who you beat, not how many. Holding serve (winning games you should win and losing tough games you should lose) just doesn't hold water anymore for all except the elite. A couple of big wins completely overwhelms 2 bad losses. The same team that has no bad losses but not either of those wins is dead in the water.

The poor performance against North Texas took a bad position and made it worse. If "Selection Sunday" occurred today (12/20/21), I would predict Wichita State would now be in the NIT at the 5-seed to 6-seed range. We will get no help this week from Prairie View and in fact a win, will likely still make our rankings/projections worse.
