    I have not seen that.
No and I don't want to see it Wednesday night. That's a good way to start a riot.
Above all, make the right call.

      WSU - 81
      ISU - 72

This is a good Redbird team and they're much better at home than on the road.

ISUR will be dug in and ready for us, and we'll be tired from a streak of emotional wins, but we are road warriors and will come from behind to snag victory from the jaws of defeat.

        Shox 75
        Parakeets 73

        ...in a thriller.

One of Billy Tubb's OU teams did it at Allen Field House. It was priceless.

If I were Jank, I would make sure there wasn't a single ladder in the entire building at about half an hour before tip off.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

              Hey Shox friends!

Hope all is well with you guys, as it is with your team. Congrats on a hell of a run so far & hope you do some serious damage in whatever postseason tourney awaits you. Time for another (hopefully) great game between our squads on Wed. You guys are the clear favorite in this one, but as I said over on our board I think we have a chance to win as well. It took a couple major individual efforts to bring us back into the game @Koch so we can't rely on that again but there have been times we've simply played really good team basketball. Other times we've been lost out there...it's been a bit of a Jekyll/Hyde season for sure for us. In any case, we definately have our work cut out for us on Wed.

It's our home finale of a pretty decent season, but still not sure what type of crowd to expect. Those fans that have gone to games have done a good job being loud/enthused but we have just struggled to get people in the door. Hoping for a decent crowd in the 5-6K range...and that sounds sad to say as that woulda been a lowball estimate on an Xmas break student-less crowd just a couple years ago. Students have been hit or miss as well, and a lot of them that do show up actually SIT!!!! behind the basket. It's kind of embarassing.

I can easily see this game being close and within 3-7pts either way at the end. I think we CAN win but it's gonna take a full team effort. By the same token I wouldn't be surprised to see you guys walk in and blitz us by 15. No matter what, let's hope for another entertaining, hardfought, clean game. Many of us have long felt that the Shox/Birds have a good, unsung rivalry going and it's always fun when we square off.

ShockRef---Glad some of our fans could help out with suggestions on eateries/bars, etc before/after the game. To reiterate on one: PubII is definately my top choice. Good food, inexpensive and a great college sports bar atmosphere. Only about 5 mins from the arena too. Highly reccommended before the game.
I am a diehard Illinois State Redbird fan first, and an MVC supporter, diplomat, and ambassador of good will second.

I remember that. But if we win on Wednesday, I wouldn't recommend doing that.

This is going to be a tough game. Illinois State is an excellent basketball team at home. They have only lost one Valley game at home (CU) and they have blown some teams out.

Unfortunately the Redbirds are lousy on the road (just 2 wins all year). They did sweep Missouri State so they are going to be a handful.

We only beat them by 3 in Wichita, so we need to have our A game and play with MTXE or we could easily get a loss on Wednesday.

                  Phantom,
Thanks for the recommendation. Another Redbird fan also suggested the Pub II. Kind of difficult to pass up a place with multiple check marks.

As mentioned, I have met several Redbird fans over the years in STL and all have been good people.

I can't say that about ISU-B or Bradley fans. Creighton fans are in class all by themselves.

If you stop by the Pub II after the game, I will have some sort of WSU garb on - unless it sparks some sort of riot. ;-)
Above all, make the right call.

Indeed it was. To make it more priceless, technically they had only clinched a tie. It would have been akin to WSU cutting the nets down at Creighton (close). I know a couple of beaker fans still enraged about Choo Kennedy pointing to his ring finger. Honestly, to this day I can't believe it didn't turn into a riot. With the scissors the OU players had, it would not have ended well at all.

There is NO WAY Gregg Marshall would EVER allow that to happen. NO WAY. If they are fortunate enough to win, I could see him celebrating some in the locker room but that's it. They will show respect in the other team's barn, win or lose. Count on it.

3G confirmed on his Monday radio show that there will be no cutting of nets in Normal if they are foturnate enough to win
Wednesday. So @WuDrWu nails another one.

We should win, although ISU red did play us tough at home. I just cannot fathom the Shox blowing this game, especially against a team who had a non-con SOS of 200 and is 0 - 3 against the RPI top 50.

This is one of those games where the Shox better not fall asleep like they did against Drake. This will be ISU's superbowl this season and we all know the Shox will be getting their best shot at home. Just whoop *** Shox and come home as Champions.

I don't get cox22 in omaha and can't find the game listed on espn3. Anyone know if its being streamed? Can't believe a ranked team can't get on espn or fox or even cbs

I can. It's a ranked team in the Valley.
