Gene Wiley and 4 triple doubles (points, rebounds and blocked shots) in his career as did Warren (Armstrong) Jabali (points, rebounds and assists). Dave Stallworth and Terry Benton each had one triple double (points, rebounds and assists).
Gene's points, rebounds, blocked shots triple doubles are no doubt an unusual combination although you think Bill Russell would have had some of these.

12,21/61 Santa Clara 17,16,12
01/18/62 Tulsa 22.23, 10

49 blocked shots in those 4 games. Not exactly aginst the Little Sisters of the Poor either. I've heard Dave the Rave talk about how great Gene was on defense. He said the knew they could gamble a lot on defense because Gene had control of the lane.Comment
