    Already a topic started.
"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

Damn, Drew Gordon at New Mexico scored 27 points and had _20_ freaking rebounds. That should count as a triple double.

No that would diminish those that have actually achieved triple doubles.

Gene Wiley and 4 triple doubles (points, rebounds and blocked shots) in his career as did Warren (Armstrong) Jabali (points, rebounds and assists). Dave Stallworth and Terry Benton each had one triple double (points, rebounds and assists).

Gene's points, rebounds, blocked shots triple doubles are no doubt an unusual combination although you think Bill Russell would have had some of these.

        Here are Gene's triple doubles:

        12/11/61 Purdue 12, 13, 15
        12,21/61 Santa Clara 17,16,12
        01/18/62 Tulsa 22.23, 10
        01/27/62 Louisville 12,15,12

49 blocked shots in those 4 games. Not exactly aginst the Little Sisters of the Poor either. I've heard Dave the Rave talk about how great Gene was on defense. He said the knew they could gamble a lot on defense because Gene had control of the lane.
