I guess I will go ahead and mention that I voted us going to the Final Four since Seth Davis of SI has come out and stated he has us going also along with Kentucky, Michigan State, and Syracuse. At least I have company if my prediction is wayyyyyy off. I have just had this hunch all year long based on a repeating pattern of toughness and development out of GS, TM, BS and DW. With Kyles a danger to go off on any game (and I predict that very thing happening in a game or two in the Dance) and Carl "The Beast" Hall turning it up one notch, we are set to make some serious noise.
Our "Road Warrior" status is another factor that gives as a legitimate advantage. We simply don't quit. Our offense is at times smoother than it was in 2006 and I believe GS can be just as effective as PM as soon as he starts going against real centers and BCS (let 'em play) style officiating. I think people will be surprised how even better we look once we start playing against bigger BCS teams. Our defense can be physical and nasty ala SIU-C of old, however we can score and score in bunches. A lot of BCS teams can score, but they can't defend worth ****. If our shots aren't falling we have a team fully capable and willing to grind (see battle) to the finish in an ugly slugfest.
