After the Creighton game, I was doing some thinking. *After Misery State beat us last year and i had to watch the chest bumping idiot run around the court like a dumbass, I was wondering if the Shox should give him a little payback. *Since its his senior season and he hasn't sniffed an NCAA tournament (other than as a spectator), a part of me wants to let him watch us celebrate and cut down some nets... But the other part of me wants to let the chickens hatch before counting them and do it after the drake game.. What does shockernet think? **

No brainer. Wait. Let the scoreboard do the talking vs MSU. And show MSU how to win with class, although I don't think Coach Lusk is quite as lenient with how he will let his players act compared to Cuonzo Martin.
Of course, if Creighton loses at SIU on Tuesday, then cut them babies down if we are able to get the win over MSU.
Perhaps the better question is (and maybe a more likely scenario) is what do we do if we clinch the title on the 22nd at Illinois State.
Do you cut the nets down at Redbird Arena in that event or wait until you finish up against Drake at home the following Saturday? What if we lose at home to Drake (which would be a huge downer)?Last edited by 1972Shocker; February 13, 2012, 04:23 PM.

I would think that the only way we could cut them down after beating the Bears, is if CU loses on Tuesday. Otherwise we are celebrating before we actually clinch the outright championship (celebrating a tie makes no sense unless it is the last game of the year, and then maybe).
Also, I don't really think it is appropriate to cut the nets down on the road when you still have a home game left.
Getting revenge over the Drake and then cutting down the nets would be a great way to end the regular season.

If we lose to Drake at home not sure I would be in the mood to hang around for a net-cutting ceremony, but you want to support the players. If I was a player not sure I would be in the mood for a net-cutting ceremony in that case. From the road I listen (Tune In radio) at home I watch ( season Ticks )

Drake. Unless Creighton loses. But we have to have clinched first place solely when they get cut down.
