Several well known espn pundits don't have us on their ballot at all: Fraschilla (kind of surprises me), Gottlieb (he thinks we are a bubble team), Katz, and Lunardi.Last edited by shocker3; February 9, 2012, 04:01 PM.

I might be biased, as those tend to be the only 4 that give WSU any type of love on ESPN.
Gottlieb has got some sand in his underwear or something.

WSU remains #1 in this weeks ESPN "mid-major" POWER RANKINGS (We have pretty much been #1 all year). CU moves up to #2 (replacing St. Mary's College which drops to 3rd).
The rankings were done on February 7, before CU lost to UE.
And Murry St. which was #9 last week, has dropped out of the top 15. So ironically, they are ranked in the top 10 in the national polls and aren't even in the top 15 of mid-majors.
This ranking system uses computer stats, no human element involved.
Here is what they say about WSU and CU this week:
Wichita State Shockers (20-4, 11-2)After back-to-back wins pulled the Shockers into a first-place tie in the MVC, they now embark on a rough five-game stretch that includes trips to Creighton and Davidson. You have to love the fact they control the defensive backboards, limit opponents' free throwsand lock down teams from 3-point land, a combination that forces foes to be incredibly efficient from 2-point range. As Wichita State's record shows, that bodes well for success over the long haul.
Creighton Bluejays (21-3, 11-2)
Despite their three-point loss to Northern Iowa over the weekend, the Bluejays now lead the entire country in effective field goal percentage (59.0), which is truly staggering. They're outstanding both inside (54.7 percent) and outside (44.8 percent) the arc, which obviously creates a pick-your-poison scenario for opponents. We've discussed Creighton's defensive deficiencies at length in previous weeks, but the fact they limit second shots and don't foul particularly often helps mitigate those problems.
