An interesting approach to using betting lines to determine team strength. A paragraph as it pertains to the Shox:

R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Wichita State isn't getting it from the
polls, despite being number 12 according to both the Betting Market and KenPom.
Saturday's 3OT loss to Drake certainly didn't help. Prior to that loss,
Wichita State's three losses were to quality opponents (Alabama, Creighton, and
Temple).

I have mixed feelings on the subject of sports gambling, but there's absolutely something to be said for polls and power rankings being linked to something... you know, like the analyst's wallet. ;-) You wanna shoot your mouth off for ratings, or to please particular fan bases? That's cool. Money on the table, good sir.

Edit: Not sure if we'd get more accurate analysis, but it would be a good deal more satisfying.
