          Would all rather be ranked fourth or fifth by this guy?! Hey, if we are number one based on efficiency, who are we to complain?

            I remember when folks on shockernet wanted people banned for posting mid major polls. Now they are celebrated.

              We have been number 1 in this ranking for almost the whole season. What is interesting to me is that Murry St is only 9th in this poll. The same ranking that the experts in the Ap and coaches poll give them.

              It is a computer rating system. And on paper the Shockers are one of the top 10 to 15 teams in the whole country. We just don't play like it sometimes. So it is no surprised that we would be number 1 in this "mid-major" ranking system.

              I like this paragraph about the Drake game:

              Despite the Drake defeat (which came in triple OT), the Shockers continue to get it done at both ends of the floor, and 7-foot center Garrett Stutz keeps getting better and better. He has scored 50 points in his past two games and is averaging 18.5 points per game and 9.1 rebounds per game in January.

                It should also be noted that this ranking does NOT include the Mountain West or the A-10. This poll does NOT consider those 2 conferences Mid-Major. So UNLV and San Diego St are not included.

                    I don't know how much the selection committee uses any of the computer ranking systems like this one or Ken-pom, but if they do, our chances of getting an at large bid and/or a great seed go way up.
