Where are we? How do we get moving?

  • Gregg Marshall 90%
    • He clearly crossed enough lines to prevent key supporters of the current era from coming to his defense
    • He conceded nothing – eliminating opportunities for a second change
  • Enablers 10%
    • There were warning signs which were ignored
    • The three named incidents were all swept under the rug
• WSU did the right thing
  • Too many key players were leaving the program (Key - featured as underclassmen)
    • This DOES NOT HAPPEN at top 30 programs
  • Recruiting was going to suffer
  • The reputational damage of keeping Gregg would never stop – every parent, recruit, potential student and fan of college basketball would be subjected to constant reminders
• How do we bounce back?
  • First, stop blaming individuals outside of Gregg & the Enablers
  • Second, stop blaming outside influencers and culture – it is embarrassing and prevents us from improving
  • Third, support the past players. Especially, the ones getting run over by the shockernet bus…
  • Fourth, demand accountability from Board Of Regents, Administration, and Athletic Department
  • Fifth, support the current coaches and players
  • Sixth, thank Gregg and his family for the good times and the positives they provided. The list is long and unlikely to be matched.
