    MTXE Time!

    We are now officially into MTXE time. For the next month, every game is going to be an all out battle and we better bring the Mental Toughness and Xtra Effort.

    Last season we didn't have it against VCU and they did. It may have cost us a bid to the NCAA. It's time to make sure that we are on the right end of the one, two and three point wins because I am guessing that we are going to be involved in a few of those with two games against Missouri State, Indiana State and one left with Illinois State and Creighton.

      I've always thought it would be kind of neat (and unique to us) if the crowd would chant M-T-X-E at various points. Would be even better if each letter was shouted from a different quadrant of the arena.

        Isn't that what cheerleaders did years ago? Have the rules changed -- are our "yell-leaders" permitted to direct cheering other than at time-outs? I know that they have been told in the past to not do certain things while the opponent was shooting free throws. Does anybody know of any specific restrictions?

          Mental Toughness wins this game tonight. Shocks could have folded late when the score got close but they seized control. Big win especially with our bigs in foul trouble.

                Seeing MTXE from all on the team really makes me feel good about them. Great game.
