Wichita Eagle shutting down Shockwaves app

I got a message this morning telling me the Eagle was shutting down the shockwaves app at the end of the month. Anybody here any reasons as to why? Is this another cost cutting move?

Probably, but I haven't used it in the last four or five years, at least.

Probably want to force you into their paywall that is loaded with ads.

Well that sucks. The only part of the Eagle that I read is Shocker basketball stories. So I liked it that I could get a Taylor’s articles without having to Incognito the pay wall.
