  • One of the worst calls was when the side line official blew the whistle to call a foul out above the circle, then the baseline official (who was not blowing his whistle or doing any motion that he was going to stop play) came over and said he had 3 seconds in the lane and that it trumped the fouled on Evansville.

    • In Sully's live chat his response to why Tekele did not play was "I didn't ask about Cotton?"

Now there is an inquisitive "journalist" for you. Covering WSU sports is Sully's vocation but it apparently is not his avocation.

When I watched the replay, I thought there was NO doubt there was a 3-4-or 5 second violation.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

I also think he could have called three seconds, I just thought it was bad/weird that he waited until the ref at the top blew his whistle and called a foul and then said he had three seconds even though he didn't call it and did not attempt to blow his whistle. If he saw three seconds I would assume he would raise his hand or make a motion to indicate he was also about to make a call.

It certainly did if for no other reason than he was the one who hired Mike Cohen as an assistant coach and he was the one who recommended that Cohen be promoted to head coach.

Of Course the AD didn't have to follow his recommendation, but it is highly doubtful he would have been hired without the recommendation (and he certainly would have never been hired had Fogler not added him to his staff to begin with).

I don't know nuttin' about Fogler -- way too young back then. Why no love for him?

Edit: Okay, not too young, but WSU basketball wasn't on my radar back then.

                • Can we please drop the discussion of Fogler - at least in this thread. There are widely divergent views on his tenure here and both sides are firmily entrenched. There have been many discussions of Fogler on SN.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

                  • What, Aargh? You mean Eddie Fogler isn't relevant to the WSU-Evansville game in January 2012? Some of our posters have veered off into never-never land? Unthinkable!

Getting back to the actual subject at hand, I'm eagerly awaiting word as to why Cotton didn't get in against Evansville.
