  • Eddie Sutton dead at 84

https://www.cbssports.com/college-ba...on-dies-at-84/ RIP to a great coach.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kickass ... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

    Bummer.

He always gave Wichita State, and it's proud history, much respect. His Arkansas teams were really good.

Don Lock told me that WSU was pretty sure they were going to land Sutton, and the next thing anybody knew, he had signed to play at OSU.

Careful about "name" and "inside info" dropping around here.

as long as its 100% true, i don't have a problem with it as i know when i tell someone something that its most likely going to get relayed to someone else if its juicy enough. if i don't want it shared, i won't share it the first time.

For "some" here, it does not matter if it is true or not.

It seems like it was just yesterday we were watching Jimmie V. on ESPN giving everyone his answer.

I was sure we were gonna' get him...

I once asked Eddie Sutton about being recruited. Told me being from Bucklin, Kansas, he was recruited by 4 Hall of Famers out of HS: Tex Winter (K-State), Ralph Miller (Wichita St.), Phog Allen, Kansas) & Henry Iba (Oklahoma A&M). He’s now in ⁦HOF also
