  • CKA Era All-Opponent Team

    Here’s another fun offseason idea.

Awhile back, Brent did a radio segment, naming an all-time opponent team for Eck Stadium. That made me think of doing the same for The Roundhouse. However, since doing all-time would be too easy with Bird, Big O, etc., I will limit this to the Koch Arena era (since 2003-04 season).

Give me your starting 5 and maybe 3 reserves.

CLARIFICATION: Go ahead and count Intrust games if you’d like, but only count opposing players who’ve played WSU in Wichita (so not Kemba Walker, Kentucky players, etc who WSU played in neutral/road games).

If we're talking strictly performances at CKA and not just caliber of players...

      Keshun Sherrill (Augusta)
      Jeremiah Martin (Memphis)
      Shake Milton (SMU)
      Jayden Gardner (ECU)
      Jeremy Ingram (NC Central)

      Honorable Mention
      Andrew Goudelock (CoC)
      Tim Pickett (FSU)

          Trae never played in CKA.

So if you are just doing the era, wouldn't that involve all games away, neutral, NCAA tourney? So that would be your best starting five and reserves?

                Goudelock's performance was jaw-dropping.

I considered all games that were considered as "Home Court".

Just counting home games, though I suppose we can count Intrust too. Good point of clarification.

And consider the overall player, not just on how well they played here.

Korver finished college in 2002-03. His last appearance in the 316 was WSU’s upset win at the Coliseum.
