  • Now this is a rankings system!

    http://prwolfe.bol.ucla.edu/cbasketball/rothman.txt

    I
t ranks 1542 college teams. WSU checks in at #31 while Fort Hays State is #157, one spot ahead of Illinois St.

SIU is at least in the top-500 (471), just behind NAIA powerhouse Lady of the Lake and several other D2 and D3 teams.

    Newman - 315
    Chicago St - 675

        (CU 19, WSU 31, UNI 36, ISUb 66, MSU 93, DU 117, ISU 158, UE 210, BU 212, SIU 471)

I see the first D2 team to check in is Kentucky Wesleyan at 71.

I'm guessing CIS is a Canadian division. Their top team is Carleton at 124.

The top D2 team is Grinnell which checks in at 151

The top NAIA-1 team is Robert Morris-Chicago at 167

The top NAIA-2 team is Dordt at 289

I have no idea what the CCAA is, but Vanier checks in at 348

        Other schools of interest:
        Kansas - 12
        UNLV - 13
        KState - 18
        SDSU - 25
        Alabama - 28
        Temple - 61
        Colorado - 100
        Charleston Southern - 127

        St. Mary - 760 (NAIA-2)
        Southwestern - 764 (NAIA-2)
        Benedictine - 790 (NAIA-1)
        Sterling - 903 (NAIA-2)
        Tabor - 926 (NAIA-2)

I may have missed a few Kansas schools as it's kind of difficult with so many. But it was kind of interesting to go through it.

Interesting that Grinnell would be atop D2 -- they used to (may still?) play the all-out offense style made famous by Loyola Marymount some years ago.

pretty sure they do still run that offense which made news early in the season when one of their players scored 89 points
