I think the best we will do in conference would be 14-4, with possible losses to Creighton, Indiana State, Northern Iowa, and a wildcard loss.

The worst I think we will do is 12-6, with possible losses to Creighton twice, Indiana State once, Northern Iowa once, Missouri State once, and a wildcard loss.

I think we'll split the games with Creighton, each winning at their house, then take both away from Northern Iowa and Missouri State. I believe we'll loss one at home against Indiana State, and win the rest. That leaves us at 16-2, and I know that's being way optimistic but I feel why not? This is OUR season!

As for the Bracketbuster game, being on the road this year is going to be great preparation for the NCAA tourney and I hope our team responds as an experienced team should.

The Valley will be tough this year. I think we will go 14-4, but I would gladly take 16-2. If we go 16-2 in the Valley this year, we are a solid, shoe in for the big dance with a good seed.

At 14-4 we might be on the bubble, but I think we will still be in the dance. Anything worse than that and we will be crossing our fingers and sweating it out on selection day. Losing the ballbusters game might also cause some sweating if we go 14-4 in the Valley.

My gut feeling is the Valley will maybe finally get in 2 teams to the Dance. WSU and Creighton are those likely teams but of course there is the Lou and teams like Indiana State that get hot at the right time with some breaks along the way. I have to wonder if Mo State will be better than advertised when it is all said and done. They left a bad taste in my mouth last Season. Not that they swept us because that was painful enough. It was all the chest pounding, public showboating, and tuanting that they actually got away that was pitiful. Yes, prior to that we had owned them, but a little more class by talking with their game would have been much more impressive. In the end, we both ended up in the NIT and then we got hot, not them.

I actually think we have a good shot at 3 bids and 4 is even possible IF the top teams only lose to each other.

If WSU, CU, Indy State and UNI only lose to each other (probably won't happen) and each of them win their ballbusters game, 4 is very possible. They would all then end up with great rpis and all of them except UNI would have a good non-con win. But UNI would have an excellent rpi and some good in conference wins (if they split with CU, WSU, Indy St).

So under that unlikey scenerio 4 bids is possible (it happened in 2006, so who knows). But I do think 3 is very doable if the top teams take care of business.

I would be very disappointed if we don't get 3 bids this year. After getting just one bid the last 4 years in a row, the MVC revenue is drying up. We desperately need multiple bids this year with at least one (or better yet two) of those teams going deep into the tourney.
