This one stings more than most for me. I think Craig Porter is an extremely special player. This is right up there in Fred Van Vleet, Ron Baker, Matt Brauer, Tekele Cotton, and Carl Hall territory for me.
Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

Couldn’t have said it better. Porter is NBA quality, no question.

Porter’s game improved a ton from last year to this year, and I’d even say improved even more 2nd half of this season. He went from serviceable PG to NBA potential.

Very, very good point guard. I also believe that he will play in the NBA. Probably start in the G league and move up after a year or so.

One of my favorite shockers. Stayed loyal to the program through the worst times. A leader on and off the court that seemed to be proud of the letters on the front of his jersey.

Would have been nice to see what he could do last year and the (even more ) improvement this year. But IB was fixated on developing TE as a pg. We were fortunate to get CP back this year.

Cannot have higher regard for his loyalty. In fact reminds me a bit of Jason Perez when the program was on fire (in a bad way). But I think all the feels are clouding judgment. He'll never see an NBA court and I would wager a lot on that. Every season we have an NBA prospect that just isn't (last one ETN).

To say he didn't have much growing up in Terre Haute would be an understatement of the nth degree. This young man struggled, mightily, in his early days at WSU. I know we were lucky to keep him even during that first year. He was not comfortable nor happy here. And we were lucky after last year. That kind of loyalty, ESPECIALLY in this arena in this time, deserves more than what he received.

He's probably always going to be a bit of an underdog but there aren't many student athletes that I will wish a better future for that Craig. He deserves a break.....actually many, many breaks.

                      Thank you Craig.

Craig is a better overall player than our last 2 “NBA prospects”, Etienne and McDuffie. Better handles than both of those guys, better shot creator, better passer, way better in traffic than both. Etienne and McDuffie probably both have the edge as natural shooters, although Craig’s mid range game is next level. I would not bet against him getting a taste.

                          I haven't seen any indication he's on anyone's top 100.

He may not be, but he should be. He is as good Landry. Better than Etienne. Better than Toure. But so was Tekele.

Landry was on everyone's top 30 and rising fast. He was just special - and Sampson knew it and told everyone. CP is better than ETN. That's it. I'm done commenting on CP because I really like him. Every single year our top player is the next big NBA prospect. This board is terrible at NBA player projections. Let me have it!
