Weird that such a terrible team with a crap coach and players was projected as an 8-10 seed in brackets created based on unbiased, objective advanced metrics.
They’re really on a concerning downward trend, that team. Sure they went to the NCAA seven years in a row but what did they do when they faced a worst case, bizarre roster/coach turnover? NIT semifinals? Sad fall from grace.
And then the next year their non-conference, conference, and overall records all improved AND they were on track to return the NCAA tourney until a (hopefully) once in a lifetime virus struck?
The trend is alarming.
