It's still on, but postponed until April 20th.

The advantage of having it at a single site. I have seen some suggestions on twitter from CBB types for the NCAA to pare down to 16 teams and play at a single site.

How about four sites Four days 64 down to four and the final four 8 days later. Each school can decline if they don't want to play letting the next one in.

It's nice to see an organization finally think clearly. KSHAA should have just postponed as well. If it turns out to be a bad idea then cancel it but the student athletes deserve to have the opportunity to finish out their season.

The KSHSAA would have been done by tomorrow. With only 4-5 cases in Kansas at the present time, they should have finished it. Schools weren't even called off yet. Over reaction.

Part of the reason for the current reaction is the 1 death in Kansas.

The woman was confined to a nursing home. She had not traveled. She was not in contact with any known carrier. There was one known carrier in the community (Kansas City) who was confined in a hospital.

Someone with a mild case, or not showing symptoms yet, exposed her and it killed her.

In order to get a test, one of the questions asked, at least in some areas, is whether the person requesting the test has been in contact with someone who has been tested positive. Only 11,000 or 12,000 people in the USA have been tested, so that question is almost an automatic rejection of a request for a test.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

I thought I read that she had contact to NE US. Maybe visitors from there?
