Amazing! The first call is about the ruling on the charge/block circle around the basket. An actual legitimate basketball question. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Some really nice ball movement and passing tonight. A very nice long bounce pass from Toure to Rags for a fast-break layup. Several really nice alley oops including one to Garrett, one to EO and I think there was one to DK. The delivery of the game was a perfect, over-the-head two-handed 3/4 court outlet pass from Garrett to DK who finished with a high-flying jam.
Reception of the game belonged to Evan on a deep skinny post pattern. Evan was well-covered on the play but made a great catch to haul in the pass on took it in for the touchdown.

JA showed some good athleticism and some offensive skills and looks like he can be a decent rebounder. However, his defense needs work. But he should be able to help us as he continues to grow and adjust to D-1 ball.

There has been a small misnomer on this board regarding RPI that I would like to quickly clarify.
Some here have claimed in the past that a win over a bad RPI team cannot actually lower your RPI. Instead, they have said it simply helps less (if at all) than a win over a non-300+ RPI team would.
Tonight's instantaneous update took our RPI from 0.6219 (28th place) to .6010 (50th). No past opponents or opponents-of-past-opponents had simulatneous finishes recorded, so this enormous drop was due solely to the hit our SoS took by adding on the Chicago State win. Granted, this is magnified somewhat because it is only our tenth game. However, the impact is obviously substantial.
This is exactly why it is a much, MUCH smarter move going forward to add a Fort Hays State to the schedule than Chicago State/anything from the SWAC. The competition is identical (probably better, honestly), the buy we pay them is lower, the revenue is the same, and we don't have to get our RPI kicked in the nuts. This is also why I was thrilled to see Newman as the gap-filler game this year instead of an Alcorn State type squad that we would've settled for in the past.
