It's been a 'wild' roller coaster ride for me and I'm not sure my old ticker can take too much more of this.

I hate to bring this up and hopefully I'm 100% off base, but something tells me we still have some 'dirty laundry'.

Maybe a little more 'scrub-a-dub' will do...

First blush and I'd say disappointed, but I know that is tainted with our non-con performance.

Lost to Tulsa on their prayer shot.
Lost to Cincy by 1 at home.
Lost to @ Cincy by one possession.
      The debacle @ Temple.

Win 1 of those and we don't have our backs to the wall with the NCAA.
Win 2 of those and we're in.
Win 3 of those and we're in 1st place in the AAC and top 20.

7 points and 3 positions. That's the dam* shame of it all.

Many teams have 4-5 games they lost in OT or by 1 or 2 points. Great teams win those games, we’re still figuring out how to rise to the occasion.

I'd say below expectations. Watching this team has been frustrating this year. We are very close, but not quite there. Low points:
          - Loss @ Temple (Coach should have been working on that zone from day one, we could have one that one if we had played a zone), Temple couldn't hit the ocean with an anchor from 3).
          - Can't beat any teams names Houston or Cincinatti.
          - Kids don't seem to be tough at critical times, nor do they play with their hair on fire at times. I was VERY disssapointed with Eric taking that super-long 3 at the end of the Cincy game. I wonder if he is hunting his shot too much.....he was on fire at the start of the season, but can't hit anything (except for a layup and an occasional 3).

We will be much better next year, but I don't think we will beat Houston, and I wonder how bad Mr. Harvey will burn us by the time he graduates from Cincy. Does anyone know why we lost him? Seems like he would have been a good pickup and is a Kansan.

I have said all along if we beat either Cincy, Memphis or SMU we could get into the NCAA, but I just don't see the drive in this team that would carry them to a road win against either of the two we have left.

          My guess is NIT.

And how many of those AAC teams have fewer D-I minutes than us (other than Memphis that has a pot full of 4 and 5 star players) and won the same or more conference games?

I had high hopes but not high expectations prior to November because of our youth. However, when we got to 15-1, my hopes expanded. I think my first inclinations were more accurate. I think that we have some very talented Freshmen guards who should show the most improvement before next year. The year between Freshmen and Sophomore years are the most telling in almost all cases. Bigs tend to be able to improve if they are projects every year.

So, freshmen to sophomores for 1 team = juniors to seniors for another team and a JUCO senior for 1 team = a 4 year D-I senior for another team?

Here is the story on Z. Harvey. I live in Topeka and watched him play in HS. I know he had several B12 offers before this happened.
