  • A question and a pet peeve...

Question: on Tulsa's final in bounds, why in the world do you not guard the inbounder? He can't run the base line after a turn over; put somebody on the ball who can jump around, wave their arms, anything to impede getting the ball in. Instead we have Dex trying to play free safety, not guarding the inbounds OR anyone else.

Pet peeve: the term dribble-drive. Is there any other way to drive the basketball besides dribbling it?

I have a secret play designed to stop any inbounds pass but I cannot share it.

This term is typically used with regard to penetrating the defense. You dribble drive or you feed the post. We are not good at either.

If we are posting pet peeves....

            PASS. THE. BALL.

I get SO sick of other teams that move the ball constantly WITH MORE TALENTED KIDS who die to self, and then...SURPRISE!!!Open shots!!!!!

Make sure a freshman inbounds the ball?

Whatever the plan, I hope they run it well.

Staying with the "pet peeve" theme...

From the replays, it appears to me that we were in more of a zone setup to try and pick up whoever got the ball rather than preventing certain players from getting it. I know it's hind sight, but I'd have much more liked #41 Horne (6'7" F) getting the ball along the sideline and deeper in the back court.
