The last time WSU played there (in '04?), a bunch of WSU fans overtook the bar across the street from the arena, Hardwoods(?).
The last time I drove by that spot, I don't believe the bar was there anymore.
Anyway, good times. The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

McNellies is definitely a hot spot, but get there early on Wednesday's...it fills up fast on burger night. If you can't get in, there are several other places in that area (commony called Blue Dome District) to pick from; Jo Mama's Pizza - of Man vs. Food fame is located there. Other nearby locations to consider would be the Brady district, just slightly north of the Blue Dome District, and Cherry Street (which is actually 15th street, between Utica and Peoria), several places to go there, and a pretty easy shot to TU.
Lastly, Brookside is very much a hot spot (near 34th and Peoria), several good places to eat, drink, be merry. It would be the furthest location to TU. There are a few local watering holes, and places to eat in the 15th and Harvard area too. If you are staying downtown, I'd pick Blue Dome District, Cherry Street or Brookside...in that order. If you have plenty of time, it's probably a toss up depending on what you want to eat.

I remember as an undergrad many years ago going to a football game in Tulsa and drinking quite a bit of beer. After the game some of the guys from the Tulsa chapter took us out to a burger drive inn where the fries were served in a shoe box. I have no recollection of how the food tasted but I remember the fries in the shoe box. A few years ago several of us ate at a place called Bodines which I believe specialised in seafood and such. Don't know where we will eat tomorrow but several of the selections mentioned above sound like possibilities. Yes Moose I know I owe you a few beers tomorrow.
